Paint-Your Own Pottery Questions | Glass Fusing Questions

Paint-Your-Own Pottery Questions

What kind of items do you carry?

  • We are very proud of the large inventory we carry, you name it, and we probably have it.  Here are a few examples; plates, platters, bowls, mugs, salt and pepper shakers, spoon rests ,tiles ,picture frames, kid’s collectibles, banks, boxes, nightlights and  list goes on and on.

What are the prices of our pieces?

  • They start at $7 and go up to $135 for a huge teacup and saucer which serves as a planter, punch bowl, or large beverage server for parties.

What does the price include?

  • We are an all-inclusive studio which includes the cost of the piece, use of paint and brushes (unless it is a specialty paint), accessories, glazing and firing, and your studio painting time.

What are specialty paints?

  • We carry an extensive line of pottery glazes, glazes and crystal paints. When you want a different kind of look, try a specialty paint. Stop in and see all of our samples.

When can I expect my glazed piece to be ready for pick-up?

  • We tell you 5-7 days, but often we run ahead of schedule and we'll give you a courtesy call when your masterpiece is ready.

Why does it take that long to get ready?

  • First, your masterpiece has to dry, then be dipped in a clear glaze and then it goes into a kiln which fires your piece. The kiln heats up to 1800º and then it has to slowly cool down so the pieces can eventually be unloaded and handled. This process takes around 24 hours.

What if I’m not creative?

  • We’re all about helping the customer and suggesting great ideas. We have lots of idea books, stamps, stencils and experience galore! Get your friends to come along and we’ll make sure you have a great time!

Do you have any other locations?

  • No, we have been open since March 7th, 2005. We are privately owned and operated and are not a part of a chain.
